Arlington, Texas native, Ulric Maligi is in his first year on Scott Cross' staff.
Maligi, 22, is one of the youngest Division I assistant coaches in the country. A 2006 graduate of Howard University, Maligi spent three seasons as a student assistant for the Bison basketball program. He coordinated all film exchange, assisted with on-campus recruiting, coordinated mass mail-outs, developed individual work-out schedules, assisted with academic monitoring, coordinated pregame and postgame meals and was in charge of the recruitment and supervision of all student managers.
Maligi will serve as the camp director of the UT Arlington men's basketball camp. He has worked more than 30 basketball camps in the past four years including Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Colorado, Oklahoma and the prestigious Howie Garfinkel's Five-Star Camp and Rick Ball's Ball Stars Camp.
Maligi formed his own AAU team, Team Arlington Select, in 2002 and has served as a head coach of the Dallas Mustangs since 2003.
