UTA Head Coach Scott Cross
"I thought we were playing great in the first half. We were sharp offensively. We were executing great. Guys were hitting shots. We were playing outstanding defense, making it really tough o n the pick-and-roll. As the game progressed, guys started looking at numbers and we stopped making each other better. From a defensive standpoint, and rebounding, we did what we intended to do and did what we needed to win the basketball game. But, we turned the ball over 19 times and I think they scored 22 points off turnovers. You aren't going to win a basketball game playing that way. Credit goes to Georgia Southern for executing, hitting shots and defending like they did today.
"Link (Kabadyundi) played outstanding. Johnny (Hamilton) came up to me before the game and said he thought Link should start. He thought Link could do better today in this game. He wanted to do what he thought was best for this basketball team. Link did play outstanding. He was super tough. He defended great. He packed the paint. He was a monster finishing plays for us. That combination, Johnny and Link, has been solid all year long. They are, for the most part, doing what we need. We just need to get the rest of the guys playing together."
