  • UTA drops to 9-5 on the season and opens Sun Belt play at 0-1. The Mavericks return to action Sunday, Dec. 31 with a 1:30 p.m. (CST) tipoff at Appalachian State. (5-8, 0-0 Sun Belt)
  • Coastal Carolina improves to 7-7 on the season and opens Sun Belt play at 1-0. The Chanticleers return to action Sunday, Dec. 31 with a 2:30 (CST) tipoff at home against Texas State (7-6, 0-0 Sun Belt).
  • Senior forward Kevin Hervey scored 7 points at Coastal Carolina to bring his career total to 1,399. He remains just 12 points shy of Steven Thomas (1,411 from 2002-06) for third on the school's all-time scoring list.
  • Senior guard Erick Neal handed out 6 assists at Coastal Carolina to bring his career total to 649 and places him one shy of the program's all-time lead in career assists. He is just behind Ronnell Peters, who distributed 650 assists from 1982-86.
  • Senior forward Kevin Hervey registered 4 rebounds at Coastal Carolina to bring his career total to 754. He remains in sixth on the program list for career rebounds, just shy of fifth place Jordan Reves (760 from 2020-13).
