Arlington, Texas - The UT Arlington Department of Athletics has announced they have changed the gametime for Saturday's Southland Conference season-opener vs. Texas State to 1 p.m.
The change was brought about due to the Dallas Cowboys home playoff game which is scheduled for 7 p.m., which was the orginial time of the basketball game. The campus serves as the main parking area for Cowboy Stadium gameday employees.
"Our campus has a great deal of activity on a Cowboys game day and their games bring a great many people to Arlington and around our campus," UTA director of athletics Pete Carlon said. "We want to make sure our fans who are coming to Saturday's basketball game do not have to deal with the traffic in an around campus."
