ARLINGTON, Texas -- The UT Arlington men's basketball team will recognize eight seniors in its final home game of the regular season tomorrow when it hosts Georgia State in College Park Center.
Presented by Texas Trust Credit Union, the game is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. tipoff and will be preceded by the Lady Mavs against GSU beginning at 2 p.m. Tickets are available online at UTATickets.com or by calling the UTA Box Office at (817) 272-9595 or in person at College Park Center prior to the game. Thanks to Texas Trust, all UTA students will be admitted free of charge.
UTA enters Saturday's contest with a 17-12 overall record and an 8-8 mark against Sun Belt competition. The Mavericks are a sparkling 12-2 at home this season and will hope that form will help them finish among the top four in the Sun Belt Standings. The top four finishers receive a first round bye in the league's postseason championships, which are scheduled for March 7-11 in New Orleans.
Georgia State (20-8, 11-4) will be looking to clinch the number two seed at the league championships. The Panthers are coming off a 27-point win at Texas State and, despite having dropped two of its last three games, defeated Sun Belt champion Louisiana 106-92 two weeks ago. Georgia State knocked off the Mavericks 81-75 earlier this year in Atlanta.
Prior to the game, UTA will recognize eight seniors playing their final regular season home game: Mairega Clarke, Johnny Hamilton, Julian Harris, Nathan Hawkins, Kevin Hervey, Link Kabadyundi, Erick Neal and Kaelon Wilson.
