UTA SUMMER HOOPS CAMPS ENDS SUCCESSFUL TWO-WEEK RUN
July 1, 2009
ARLINGTON, Tx. - If you have already joined the Twitter craze and are following UT Arlington head men's basketball coach Scott Cross' daily updates you know the UTA basketball camp is alive and well. This week wraps up the camp season on the UT Arlington campus and this week over 120 campers are enjoying a week-long education into the world of Division I basketball. "This has been a great week for us at camp," Cross said. "We have one of the largest attended camps we have ever had and it has been fun to be out there teaching the kids. Coach (Allan) Adams has done a great job of organizing the camp to make sure all of the campers are having fun." The full-day camp starts at 9 a.m. with campers leaving at 5 p.m. Throughout the day there are different skills competitions and then the campers break into age-group teams to play games. "Our camp staff has done a great job of coaching the kids," Cross added. "Our players that are working are also doing a great job. "I'm glad everyone is having fun and while this is coming to a close, I am already looking forward to next year," Cross said.
