MBB: Bo Ingram drafted by D-League Jam

ARLINGTON, Texas – Former UT Arlington standout Bo Ingram was selected by the Bakersfield Jam in the 2012 NBA Development League Draft on Friday night. Ingram starred for the Mavericks for two years and graduated after the 2011-12 season.
Ingram averaged 12.8 points and 4.2 rebounds for UT Arlington last season, helping lead the Mavericks to the Southland Conference championship and a postseason berth in the National Invitational Tournament. The Kingston, North Carolina native was named SLC Newcomer of the Year in 2010-11, ranking second on team in scoring at 11.2 points per game.
Bakersfield Jam is the D-League affiliate of NBA teams Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors. The Jam also drafted Shan Foster (Vanderbilt), James Nunnally (UC Santa Barbara), Chris Cooper (Old Dominion), Austen Powers (Seattle), Trevon Harmon (Cleveland State) and Jamel McGuire (CSU San Marcus).
“I am proud of how hard our staff worked to prepare for this year’s draft. I really think we have a great group of guys coming in,” Bakersfield coach Will Voigt said. “We are very excited about the level of talent we will have in training camp and look forward to starting practice soon.”
All players will report to training camp next weekend. The Jam opens the 2012-13 season on the road against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Friday, Nov. 23 at 5:00 p.m. PT.
