THE GAME: UT Arlington has won two in a row, including winning its first road game Saturday at Houston Baptist, going into Tuesday night's visit to Oklahoma. The Mavericks follow OU with a four-game homestand, including opening three Sun Belt Conference (SBC) games.

SERIES: Oklahoma leads 6-0. UTA-OU first met in 1969. Teams set a College Park Center attendance record (6,421) last season in the Sooners' 63-59 win.
ABOUT OKLAHOMA: Oklahoma improved to 9-1 with a 101-91 home win over Tulsa. Five Sooners scored in double figures for the fifth time this season (OU had five double-digit scorers in a game three times all of last season). The Sooners scored 101 points for the second time this year. The last time OU had multiple 100-point games in a season was during the 2004-05 campaign (also twice). OU had reached 100 points in a game one time in the previous eight seasons.
LAST TIME OUT: Senior forward Brandon Edwards scored a career-high 31 and UT Arlington picked up its first road victory of the season by rallying past Houston Baptist 80-70 Saturday night at Sharp Gym. The Mavericks improved to 4-6 with their second consecutive win and 1-5 away from home. UT Arlington also extended its winning streak against HBU (3-7) to 14 straight, and leads the all-time series 19-6. The Mavericks trailed by as many as eight points in the second half before storming back. Edwards racked up 22 points after the break, including a monster follow dunk in the last two minutes to seal the win. UTA shot 50 percent over the final 20 minutes.
QUOTABLE: "OU is playing really well. I think they're top 35 in the country right now. They've beat just about everybody they've played, so it's going to be a tough game being on the road, but I think our guys will look forward to that challenge." - Coach Scott Cross.
ROAD COMEBACK: UTA won its first game on the road and when trailing at halftime Saturday at Houston Baptist. The Mavericks are 1-5 in both cases.
SKID SNAPPED: UT Arlington snapped a five-game losing streak, the program's longest since losing six straight during the 2010-11 season, with the win over Dallas Baptist.
ICEMAGEDDON: UTA's nonconference game Saturday against Weber State was canceled due to the winter storm that hit North Texas. The game will not be made up this season.
20-20 VISION: Senior G Reger Dowell is tied for 13th nationally in scoring at 22.2 ppg. Dowell scored career-high 35 (tied for 20th in UTA history) vs. Howard Payne & had at least 20 in the season's first seven games. Streak was snapped at Texas with 17 points.
MEGATRON: Senior F Brandon Edwards is tied for 17th nationally and second in the Sun Belt in rebounding at 10.2 per game. He has six double-doubles this season and had a streak of four in a row snapped at Texas. He began season 16th on UTA's all-time rebounding list and is now up to eighth. Edwards scored a career-high 31 points at Houston Baptist. Edwards is one of four players in the country averaging at least 18 points and 10 rebounds.
DYNAMIC DUO: Dowell (22.2 ppg) and Edwards (19.7 ppg) are first & fifth, respectively, in scoring in the Sun Belt.
LINEUP ROULETTE: Cross has used four starting lineups through 10 games. G Reger Dowell, F Brandon Edwards, G Lonnie McClanahan have started all 10. The center position has seen three different starters: Stuart Lagerson (6 starts), Jorge Bilbao (2) and Anthony Walker (2). F Vincent Dillard started the first eight games, with G Jamel Outler starting the last two.
BUSY, BUSY: UTA has packed quite a few games into a small space already this season. The Mavericks have already played a stretch of three games in four days (Nov. 12-15) and three games in five days (Nov. 19-23).
SPREADING THE WEALTH: At least four Mavs scored double figures in five games this season: Boise State (4), Samford (5), Howard Payne (4), Robert Morris (5) and Texas (4).
SECOND BEST: UT Arlington is second in Sun Belt and tied for 41st nationally in team scoring (81.5 ppg). UTA is also second in the Sun Belt and tied for 20th nationally in 3-pointers per game (8.8).
TRIPLE DIGITS: UTA's 111 points vs. Howard Payne (11/13) were most since 124 vs. Sam Houston State (12/28/98) and tied for 18th all-time in school history.
SCORING BIG: UTA scored at least 87 in the first three games. The last time UTA had such a stretch was four in a row from Dec. 1-11, 1992: 91 (Concordia-Lutheran), 121 (Schreiner), 105 (Sul Ross State), 95 (Gonzaga).
