The Mavericks’ three losses this season are to Big 12 teams Oklahoma, Texas and No. 24 Oklahoma State.
This is the 12th all-time meeting between the schools. New Mexico State leads the series 10-1. The teams haven’t met since 2004. UT Arlington’s only win in the series was in that last meeting, 88-67, Nov. 24, 2004, in Las Cruces, N.M.
UT Arlington is coming off a 69-44 loss to No. 24 Oklahoma State at Gallagher-Iba Arena on Dec. 19. The Mavericks shot only 39.1 percent (18-46) and committed a season-high 31 turnovers. The previous high was 22 in the season opener at CSU Bakersfield.
