The University of Texas at Arlington led the league with 85 student-athletes on the Capital One Bank /Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll announced for spring 2009.

UTA SIGNS GUARD BRYANT SMITH TO NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT

UT Arlington head men's basketball coach Scott Cross announced today the program has signed guard Bryant Smith (Chicago, Ill./Saint Patrick HS) to a national letter of intent to begin playing for the Mavericks in the fall of 2009.

The University of Texas at Arlington Athletics Department held its annual All-Sports Banquet on Monday evening at the Blue Bonnet Ballroom on the campus of UT Arlington. Team and individual awards were handed out as UT Arlington celebrated the success and accomplishments during the 2008-2009 academic year.
