Catherine Matranga joined the UT Arlington staff as associate head coach for the women's golf team in July of 2016.
Matranga joins the Mavericks after serving as an assistant for Divisions II Roger's State. In the programs provisional season of competing, she helped the Hillcats pick up three-top performances at the Heartland Conference Championship.
A Fort Worth native, Matranga graduated from TCU with NCAA Honorable Mention All-American honors in 2007. She recorded 13 top-10 finishes and was named to the Mountain West All-Conference team.
After her days as a Horned Frog, she played seven seasons on the LPGA Symetra Tour and participated in the U.S. Women's Open in 2013.
Prior to joining Roger's State, Matranga spent four years as the Assistant Golf Professional at Ridglea County Club.
