• Owned a 73.67 stroke average in six rounds during the fall and a 76.00 stroke average in 14 rounds in the spring

• Shot a career best round of 66 in the first round of the Mean Green Invitational, the first round of the fall
• Shot 220 at the 54-hole Cowboy Classic to finish in a tie for seventh with teammate Tyrone Mordt

• UTA golf team's Freshman of the Year
• Appeared in seven of UTA's 13 varsity tournaments, including the NCAA Regionals, as a freshman
• Averaged 76.65 strokes per round for the entire year (75.80 in the fall, 76.93 in the spring)
• In UTA's lineup in each of the final five tournaments of the spring
• Fired personal low round of 68 in second round of SMU Stonebridge Invitational in the fall
• Shot 225 in the 54-hole SMU event, tied for his lowest three-round tourney score of the year
• Matched the 225 with three rounds of 75 at the Border Olympics in Laredo in the spring
• Best round of the spring came when he shot a final round 73 at the Southland Conference Tournament

Summer 2001
• Won Manitoba Amateur Championship Qualifier and tied for 8th in the Manitoba Amateur Championship
• Placed third in the Manitoba Ping Amateur Tour Event
• Competed in the Canadian Amateur Championship

Dryden High School
• Played on the golf, basketball, badminton and hockey teams
• Three-time captain of the golf team
• Won 1998 Manitoba Rural Junior Championship in 1998
