Bobby emerged as UT Arlington's most consistent golfer throughout the Fall and Spring seasons in 2007-08...finished with the team's best stroke average of 73.08, which ranks as the fifth-best single-season stroke average in the program's history...Had four Top-10 finishes and was UT Arlington's top golfer in four tournaments, including the two biggest tournaments of the year - the Southland Conference Championships and the NCAA Central Regionals....turned in his best performance of the year with a 64-71-68=203 at the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate.
SUMMER 2007
Advanced deep into the Cotton States Invitational before losing to Russell helson of Texas, 2&1, in the second round of brack play... competed at te Texas State Amateur where he tied for 19th with a four-round total of 294 (74-72-72-76)... shot 72-72 at the U.S. Amateur qualifier.
AS A FRESHMAN (2006-07)
Named honorable mention all-Southland Conference... became first Maverick freshman to win a tournament in more than decade with the medalist award at the Diet Pepsi/Shocker Classic (72-72-75=219)... ranked third on the team with a 74.68 strokes per game... tied for 12th at the Border Olympics (71-72-71=214)... Worked way into starting line up during the 2006-07 season, playing in six tournaments, including every spring tournament... averaged 74.20 during five spring events... shot par-or-better in six of his final nine rounds during the spring... best round of the season was 71 at both the Border Olympics and the SLC Championship.
PRIOR TO UTA
A four-year letterwinner at Irving High School... won 12 tournaments during his four-year career, including four his senior season... was District 7-5A champion his sophomore season and runner-up his freshman and senior seasons... tallied a 70-69=139 at the Dallas Morning News Junior City Championship in 2002... also was the Northern Texas Junior PGA Champion in 2002, and the runner-up in 2003...Region I-5A qualifier all four years... named outstanding male athlete at Irving HS his sophomore through senior years... nominated by the American Junior Golf Association for the Hewlett Packard Scholastic Junior All-American Team in 2005... was an honor student all four years and the National Honor Society his senior year at Irving HS.

Born Feb. 9, 1988, in Dallas, Texas...son of Ken and Mardi Penn and Joel Massa...his father, Joel, was a baseball and golf letterwinner at UT Arlington...majoring in physical education.
