AS A SOPHOMORE (2005-06)
Appeared in all 13 events for the Mavericks... posted the third-best season stroke average in school history with a 72.76 average... selected first-team all-Southland Conference for the second consecutive season... named Golf World National Player of the Week for winning the Squire Creek Intercollegiate (67-74-70=211)... he won the event on a par on the fourth extra hole... tallied three rounds under par (71-67-71=209) on his way to a tie for fourth at the Wolf Pack Classic... again, registered three rounds under par (71-70-69=210) to tie for third at the Border Olympics.
Won the U.S. Amateur qualifier with a two-round total of 138 (67-71)... advanced to the semifinals of the Texas State Public Links... had a 72-hole total of 291 at the Texas State Amateur... competed in the Southern Amateur qualifier and the U.S. Public Links qualifier.
AS A FRESHMAN (2004-05)
Earned first-team all-SLC honors after tying for fourth at the conference tournament with a three-round total of 218 (74-74-70)...fourth-place finish at SLC Championship was season best... claimed two other top-20 finishes.
Qualified for the U.S. Public Links Championships after shooting 72-66=138 at the qualifier... shot 69-72=141 at the U.S. Public Links to become the first UTA golfer to qualify for match play...won two matches before being eliminated 1-up in the Round of 16... tied for first at the U.S. Amateur qualifier with a 71-70=141... shot 75-80 at the U.S. Amateur... won the qualifier at the Texas State Open after shooting 74-71-74-74=293... shot a 75-73-78=226 to tie for 21st at the Collegiate Tour Championship.
PRIOR TO UTA
Captured the Arlington City Championship as a member of the Mansfield High School golf team... a two-time first-team all-district selection, was picked first-team all-region... placed second at the 2001 AJGA Chrysler Classic in Horseshoe Bay by shooting a 69-72-67=208...final round 67 set a new tournament record... twice qualified for the U.S. Final at the World Juniors...medalist at the 2001 Fort Worth City Championships.
