Newport Beach, Calif. - The Maverick golf team could not replicate their low round of Monday as they slipped to a nine-over team score of 364 and finished in eighth place at their first tournament of the spring.
"We left some shots out on the course today," UTA head coach Jay Rees said. "We need to eliminate some of those mistakes in future tournaments."

Zack Fischer followed his second round 69 with a two-over 73. He finished in a tie for 22nd with a one-over score of 214.
