MG: Mason third, Mavs slip to ninth after Desert second round

PALM DESERT, California – UT Arlington senior Brad Mason remained tied for third, but the Mavericks into ninth place after Saturday's second round of the Wyoming Cowboy Desert Intercollegiate.

Mason followed up his 4-under-par 68 with a 2-under 70 at The Classic Club. Junior Joss Gosling and freshman Josh Radcliff are tied for 45th after matching 72s, leaving both 1-over.

Freshman Zach Galliford (T50, 146) and junior Jake Argento (T81, 151) complete the UTA team contingent, which is 2-under for the tournament. Galliford was tied for 13th after the first round.

Junior Marley Sweeney (T99, 153) is competing as an individual. The final round is Sunday. Oregon is leading the tournament at 21-under.
