CONWAY, S.C. - The University of Texas at Arlington men's golf team finished tied for 16th at the General Jim Hackler Invitational, hosted by Coastal Carolina University, after posting a 54-hole score of 931. The tournament was held at the par-72, 6,950-yard course at the TPC of Myrtle Beach in Conway, S.C.

Tyrone Mordt led UTA in the first round shooting 71, but scored an 80 and 79 in the final two rounds to finish tied for 48th with teammate Landon Allen (78-77-75).

After shooting 305 in the opening round and sitting in 11th place, the Mavericks finished tied for 16th with Charlotte and East Carolina.

The Mavericks will return to action March 15-16 at the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate in Springfield, La.
