LAREDO, Texas - The UT Arlington men's golf team finished in 16th place after Saturday's final round of the 2014 Border Olympics.
Houston won the team ttitle with a combined 8-under-par 280 for a 54-hole total of 6-under-par 858 on the 7,315-yard, par-72 course at Laredo Country. Houston won its third straight event and finished one stroke in front of No. 13 Oklahoma.
Individually, UH junior Roman Robledo recorded his third straight sub-par round with a final-round 70 and won his third straight title - fourth in 2013-14, fifth in career - with a score of 7-under-par 209 to finish two strokes ahead of Baylor's Jerry Ruiz.
Brad Mason led the Mavericks, finished tied for 32nd overall after starting the day tied for 14th. Mason shot a 5-over par 77 in the third round to post a combined score of 7-over 233.
The Mavericks return to the course in the Lonestar Invitational on March 24 in San Antonio.
