MCKINNEY, Texas – Joss Gosling sits tied for 14th and UT Arlington is sixth after the Monday's first two rounds first day of the Jim West Intercollegiate.
Gosling shot a 5-under-par 139 at TPC Craig Ranch, leaving him six shots off the lead. Brad Mason (T19, 142), Jake Argento (T23, 143), Cash Wilkerson (T58, 149) and Marley Sweeney (T58, 149) round out the UTA team. Josh Radcliff (77, 154) is competing as an individual.
The Mavericks (7-under 569) were 11th after the first round before rocketing up the leaderboard. UTA shot 278 in the second round, which only two schools beat.
"We had a great afternoon round, the best of the year," UT Arlington coach Jay Rees said. "Everyone got better in the afternoon. We were led by two solid rounds by Joss and Jake.
"If we keep working hard on the right things, we will keep getting better."
