Mason and Gosling tied for 11th, each shooting 4-under-par 212 over the three-round tournament that ended Tuesday at TPC Craig Ranch. They weren't the only Mavericks in the top 20, as Jake Argento tied for 16th at 2 under.
Cash Wilkerson (T51, 224) and Marley Sweeney (T60, 226) completed team play for UTA. The Mavericks finished fifth in the team standings, just six shots out of third. Josh Radcliff (T72, 231) competed as an individual.
"We just shot our best score of the year for 54 holes," UT Arlington coach Jay Rees said. "We are getting better and the guys are feeling it
"Joss, Brad and Jake did a great job this week. Cash and Marley did positive things as well, just need to be a little more consistent. We keep playing like this from all five guys and we can win the Sun Belt Championship."
That's next on the agenda. The Mavericks are aiming for title at the Sun Belt Championship (April 21-23) in Biloxi, Miss.
"That is our goal," Rees said. "It's all about playing our best at the Sun Belt Championship. We will keep doing our daily scoring goal activity. That seems to be building daily confidence. We are moving in the right direction right now."
