The Mavericks shjot 43-over par as a team through three rounds, shooting a team total 895. UT Arlington came in with a plus-5 289 in the first round, plus-15 299 in the second round round and plus-23 307 on Sunday.
The Mavericks did have one player in the top 20 in the individual standings, as Paul McConnell tied for 19th with a plus-4 217. Hunter Brown and Riley Fleming tied for 43rd at 9-over 222. Brad Mason (70, 238) and Cameron Hollek (72, 248) complete UTA's five-man team.
Texas shot a 4-under 848 to beat Texas Tech by five strokes to win the team title.
Cash Wilkerson, playing as an individual for UTA, tied for 43rd.
Next up for the Mavericks is the Western Athletic Conference Championships in Las Vegas beginning April 29.
