ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington men's golf returns to the links Friday with the opening round of the 2013 Bayou City Collegiate Championships. The three-day, 54-hole event runs through Sunday at The Redstone Golf Club in Humble, Texas.
"We are looking for consistency from all five guys," UT Arlington coach Jay Rees said. "We get that and we will have a competitive week. This is a great opportunity. Redstone is the home of the PGA Tour event Shell Houston Open."
UT Arlington tied for eighth at the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational in San Antonio in its most recent tournament appearance. Fleming tied for 12th and Brown also finished in the top 20 tied for 18th.
Bayou City's 15-team field consists of No. 37 Houston (co-host); No. 148 Rice (co-host); No. 40 Baylor; No. 74 Charlotte; No. 42 Chattanooga; No. 62 East Carolina; No. 141 Houston Baptist; No. 48 Indiana; No. 87 Lamar; No. 69 Louisiana Tech; No. 151 New Mexico State; No. 43 South Carolina; No. 2 Texas; No. 84 UT Arlington and No. 115 UTSA.

Saturday: 18 holes - 10 a.m. start off No. 1 and No. 10
