Golf's Massa looks to win consecutive Border Olympic titles

Arlington, Texas - The UT Arlington golf team returns to the links this Friday and Saturday at the annual Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas.
UTA's Bobby Massa will be looking to win consecutive Border Olympic titles as the senior fired a 5-under 211 last year to win by four strokes. The Mavericks finished fourth as a team.
"Bobby played really well last year down here and I expect him a good number of guys to follow suit this week," UTA head coach Jay Rees said. "We are looking to have a good result this week to improve our chances of an at-large berth into the regionals."
The Mavericks are currently 60th in the nation according to golfstat.com.
The tournament will be played at the par-72, 7,125-yard Laredo Country Club with 36 holes on Friday and the final 18 on Saturday.
Besides the Mavericks, other teams in the field include host Houston and Air Force, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Lamar, New Mexico State, North Texas, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Rice, Texas State, UTEP, UTSA and Washington State.
