Arlington, Texas - UT Arlington head golf coach Jay Rees will be on hand at Augusta National for next week's Masters, as he will serve as Robert Garrgius' short game coach.

Rees, who coached Garrigus when he played at Scottsdale Community College, is making his first visit to the fabled course for this year's major.

"It is like going to the Super Bowl," Rees said. "It is the greatest sporting event I have ever been to. And on top of that having a former player in the field is a good as it gets.

"I'm looking forward to being there on the range, spending time with Robert in the short game facility and being close to everything should be a really great experience."

Garrigus qualified for this year's tournament due to the fact that he finished in the top eight in last year's U.S. Open Championship.

The tournament begins next Thursday, April 5.
