Hunter Brown named to SLC All-Academic Team

Arlington, Tex. - UT Arlington's Hunter Brown has been named to the Southland Conference's Men's Golf All-Academic team, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Brown, a native of Richardson, Texas, is a biology major with a 3.69 GPA. He recorded a 74.6 stroke average in 22 rounds for the Mavericks. His best finish of the season was a tie for 16th at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate and finished 20th at the Southland Conference Championships (222).
Joining Brown Scotto on the all-academic team is Southeastern Louisiana's Cedric Scotto, Lamar's Xavier Feyaerts, UTSA's Lewis Chong and Stephen F. Austin's Kyle Robbins.
The all-academic teams are voted on by the head coaches, sports information directors and academic advisors from each Southland Conference university. Student-athletes must possess a 3.0 cumulative GPA, have completed one full academic year at the nominating institution and participated in at least 50 percent of the team's competition to qualify for the all-academic squad.
