Arlington, Texas - Welcome Back Maverick Club Social Photo Gallery

UTA fans filled J. Gilligan's Restaurant Thursday night for the 2010-11 Welcome Back Maverick Club Social.

Head volleyball coach Diane Seymour and men's golf coach Jay Rees introduced their teams and answered several questions on their upcoming seasons.

Athletic Director Pete Carlon was also recognized by University of Texas at Arlington President James Spaniolo after earning Under Armour AD of the Year by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). Twenty-nine athletic directors were recognized with four geographic regions separated into seven categories.

The Mavericks volleyball team opens their season tomorrow against Miami at the Nike Invitational in Norman, Okla. at 5 p.m. The men's golf team kicks off its season Sept. 20 when they host the UTA/Waterchase Invitational.
