Golf hosts UTA/Waterchase Invitational

Arlington, Texas - The UT Arlington golf team hosts its only tournament of the year this Monday and Tuesday as they UTA/Waterchase Invitational takes place at the Waterchase Golf Club.
The Mavericks started the season with a fourth-place finish last week at the Wichita State tournament but a return home should help the team.
"We are always excited to be playing at home," UTA head coach Jay Rees said. "We won the conference tournament on this course last year and we are looking to make it consecutive victories this week."
Waterchase Golf Club is a par 72 course which will play to 7,289 yards. The team teams will start at 8 a.m. each day and will play 36 holes Monday followed by 18 on Tuesday.
Besides UT Arlington, other teams in the field include Arkansas State, UT Pan American, UL Monroe, Southern Mississippi, Southern Illinois, Mercer, Wichita State, Kansas State, Central Arkansas, Houston Baptist, McNeese State, Nicholls, Stephen F. Austin, UT San Antonio, Lousiana Tech and Sam Houston State.
Admission is free to the event.
