MAVS LOOK TO CAPTURE SQUIRE CREEK INVITATIONAL

Arlington, Texas - The University of Texas at Arlington men's golf team will set its sights on a first place showing at the Squire Creek Invitational hosted by Louisiana Tech on Monday and Tuesday at the Squire Creek Golf Course in Ruston, La.
The Mavericks will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. as all 16 teams will play 36 holes followed by the final round on Tuesday.
The field includes teams from LA Tech, LSU, Nebraska, Louisville, Mississippi, Arkansas-Little Rock, Arkansas State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Nevada, New Orleans, Southern Miss, Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana, and Middle Tennessee.
UTA captured ninth place last season and will look to take down defending champions of the tournament Southern Miss. The Mavericks collected the title back in 2004.
