San Antonio, Texas - The UT Arlington men's golf team is playing in San Antonio this weekend.

The Mavericks are the defending team champions at the Lone Star Invitational.

This season, Paul McConnell is the leading Maverick with a stroke average of 71.36. Hunter Brown is close behind with a stroke average of 72.91.

Seniors Pierre Carlsson and Jamey Taylor and freshman Cash Wilkerson are joining McConnell and Brown in San Antonio.

The Mavericks are looking to bring home another championship from the Lone Star Invitational.

The Mavericks will be competing with Arizona, Baylor, Houston, New Mexico, North Texas, Rice, Sam Houston State, Southern Mississippi, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M, Texas State, UTEP, UTSA and Weber State.

The practice round starts Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Briggs Ranch Golf Club, followed by three rounds on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
