ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington men's golf team will compete in the upcoming Price’s Give 'Em Five Invitational tournament this weekend, hosted by UTEP at Butterfield Trail Golf Club in El Paso.
UT Arlington freshmen Riley Fleming is coming off a strong finish at the Cabo Collegiate, tying for fifith. The Mavericks tied for seventh in the 12-team event hosted by Santa Clara.
Unfortunately, the Cabo tournament was cut short to one round due to bad weather. Price’s Give 'Em Five Invitational gives the Mavericks an opportunity to make up for lost time.
The Butterfield Trail Golf course is a par-72, 7,307-yard course. Designed by Tom Fazio and located just minutes from the El Paso Airport, Butterfield trail was rated the third-best municipal course in the nation by Golfweek in 2010.
The schools participating in this tournament are UTEP, Idaho, Nebraska, NM State, Northern Colorado, Oral Roberts, San Jose State, Seattle, Utah, UT Arlington, Weber State and Western New Mexico.
Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.
