KAHUKU, O'ahu - The UT Arlington men's golf team had a successful day of golf at the Eighth Annual Turtle Bay Intercollegiate on Monday, November 10, at the Turtle Bay Resort (Fazio) Golf Course. The Mavs are currently tied for second place with The University of Texas after one round of golf action.

Three Mavs finished in the top-20 out of 105 competitors including Bryce Easton, who recorded a 10th place finish with a one round score of 69 (34-35). Zach Fischer sits behind Easton in 11th place with a one round tally of 69 (35-34).

Bobby Massa captured 17th place honors after the first round with a score of 70 (35-35) while Kevin Carrigan finished in 43rd place with a tally of 72 (36-36) and Michael Van deVenter recorded a 71st place finish with a score of 75 (38-37), respectively.

San Diego State leads the field of 19 with a one round team score of 277 (-11) while University of Texas (280) and UTA (280) share second place and UNLV (281), and Ohio State (283) take the fourth and fifth spots.

The tournament continues Tuesday with round two beginning at 7:30 a.m. on the Palmer Course at the Turtle Bay Resort.
