MAVS FINISH TIED FOR THIRD AT TURTLE BAY INTERCOLLEGIATE

KAHUKU, O'ahu - The UT Arlington men's golf team tied for third place out of 18 teams on the final day of the Eighth Annual Turtle Bay Intercollegiate at the Turtle Bay Resort Golf Course on Wednesday, November 12.
As a team, the Mavericks recorded a three-round score of 850 (280-299-271) with UNLV (850). The University of Texas (843) notched a first place finish while San Diego State (846) collected second place honors, and Ohio State (852) came in fifth place.
After finishing in 25th place on Tuesday, junior Bobby Massa stepped up his game and recorded a second place finish with a 54-hole total of 206, 10-under par while Zach Fischer notched a 22nd place finish with a three-round total of 213, 3-under par.
Kevin Carrigan collected 28th place honors with a 54-hole total of 214, 2-under par while Bryce Easton recorded a three-round total of 217 and Michael Van deVenter notched a 93rd score of 229, respectively.
The Turtle Bay Intercollegiate concludes the men's golf fall season. The Mavericks will begin the spring season at the UTSA/Oak Hill Invitational in San Antonio, Texas on February 16-17.
