Became the second straight UTA player to be named the Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year...garnered second team all-conference honors at No. 1 sinlges...Finished the year 12-17 overall, 6-10 at No. 1 and 2-2 at No. 2...Went 3-2 in SLC action...Teamed with freshman Sandy Farquaharson at No. 1 doubles and finished 10-11, the pair was 12-13 overall.

2001- 2002 (Baylor)
Finished the fall campaign with an 11-4 singles mark and was 8-5 in doubles...Teamed with Zoltan Papp and made it to the semifinals of the ITA Regionals before losing to UTA's Leber and Corrie...The duo also posted a victory over No. 24 Barker/Barker of Rice in the ITA Regionals...Mike Garcia and McGregor won the doubles championships of the UTSA Fall Tournament with a perfect 4-0 mark...teamed with Markus Hornung to be ranked as high as No. 10 nationally, the pair ended the season ranked No. 18 and were named all-Big 12...the duo had a 10-match winning streak.

2000-2001
Joined the Bears in January and played doubles primarily...Won a season-high three consecutive matches (1/31-3/18).

Attended St. Peter's Catholic College in Canberra, ACT, Australia...Ranked in the top 10 in Australia and No. 1 in his state (ACT)...Played in the Junior Australian Open...Was undefeated at No. 1 for ACT at Australia's prestigious Pizzey Cup...Also played No. 1 on the ACT Linton Cup team...One of 10 players chosen to the Australian School Boys Merit team...Won the state men's singles and doubles championship...Represented the ACT state team for seven years...Also swam, played rugby and basketball.
