MT: Mavs fall to No.44 TCU 5-2
Feb. 22, 2012 Arlington, Texas - Men's tennis fell to cross-town rival TCU in a 5-2 match at 2 p.m. in Arlington. The men started strong winning the double round with No. 1 (Mindaugas Celedinas and Soren Goritzka) and No. 2 (David Subirats and Yauheni Yakauleu) defeating TCU. "We are playing solid doubles, the teams are playing together better and better each time. We are playing strong teams that will help us reach our top level," UT Arlington head coach Diego Benitez said. "We just need to work on a few more details on our singles play." The Horned Frogs (4-5) bounced back winning five of the six single matchups. Senior Jason Lateko defeated TCU's Blake Wiggins in a close 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 battle to the end. The Mavericks fell to a 3-2 record with this loss, but hope to come back strong Saturday when they play Texas in Austin.
