ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington men's tennis swept New Mexico State 4-0 Sunday morning at the UTA Tennis Center.
"We really bounced back after a tough match against UTSA," UT Arlington coach Diego Benitez said. "It was great to see the guys play and dominate the way that they did against a tough New Mexico State team.
"We played great doubles and never looked back"
The Mavericks stepped out early winning the doubles point at the No. 1 and No. 3 position.
UT Arlington continued its momentum into singles competition, winning three straight matches. Marek Pesicka, Daniel Armengol and Sebastian Erimicioiu all won their match at the No. 2, 3, and 4 positions, respectively.
UTA improved to 4-9 overall and returns to the court Tuesday to take on Cleveland State at 2 p.m. at the UTA Tennis Center.
