ARLINGTON, Texas - The University of Texas at Arlington men's tennis squad fell to Montana State 5-2 Monday afternoon at the UTA Tennis Center. The loss drops the Mavericks to 5-6 on the season.

MSU captured the first point of the afternoon with wins at the first and third doubles flights. UTA's Diego Mattar and Alberto Agis paired for an 8-4 victory at the No. 2 doubles position.

Agis pushed his win streak to eight matches and remained undefeated in singles action with a 6-2, 7-6 win over Braden Olson at the No. 4 position. Felipe Acosta closed out the scoring for the Mavs with a 7-6, 6-2 defeat of Justin Hauck at No. 6.

The Mavs will return to action Friday when they play host to Columbia University. First serve is set for 10 a.m. at the UTA Tennis Center.
