DOUBLES TEAM FALLS IN FINALS

WACO, Texas - Javier Herrera and Diego Mattar dropped a hard-fought 8-5 decision to Alabama's Joseph Jung and Saketh Myneni in the green draw championship match at the Baylor 2006 Men's HEB Intercollegiate Tournament here Sunday.
Senior Daniela Omana and freshman Gonzalo Bienzabos advanced to the semifinals in the gold draw after winning three matches before dropping an 8-1 decision to 29th-ranked David North and Eric Molnar of Georgia Tech Sunday morning.
In singles action, Omana and Alberto Agis advanced to the quarterfinals before losing. Omana dropped a 7-6 (5), 6-2 decision to Steven Shields of Texas A&M in the quarterfinals. Agis was beaten by Thomas Olivier of Laredo Community College in three sets.
Members of the men's team will compete at the ITA All-American in Tulsa, Okla., Oct. 5-8.
