MEN'S MATCH NOTES

SCOUTING THE ISLANDERS AND COLONELS

The Islanders are on a two-game win streak, recording their last two victories against DePaul and Louisiana-Lafayette.

A&M-Corpus Chrisit owns a 7-7 overall mark and a 1-0 conference record. The Islanders have competed against 10 nationally-ranked programs and have recorded four wins.

The lone conference win for the Islanders came against UTPA on Feb. 13. The Colonels improved to 7-6 overall and have won five of its six non-conference matches.

Nicholls State is coming off a 7-0 sweep over Alcorn State. Before the Colonels match-up against the Mavs on Sunday, they will first meet SE Louisiana and Lamar.

WOMEN'S MATCH NOTES

SCOUTING LADY LIONS AND COLONELS

SE Louisiana enters Saturday's match-up with a 6-6 overall record, including a 2-2 mark in conferece action.

The Lady Lions posted a hard-fought 4-3 win over Central Arkansas on Saturday. The win over the Sugar Bears broke a three-game skid.

Before the Colonel's host the Mavs on Sunday, they will first match-up against Texas State.

Nicholls State owns a 4-4 mark and a 1-3 record in SLC action.

MAVS 7-0 IN CONFERENCE ACTION

UTA continues its road to a perfect SLC record as they added two more wins to their record.

The Mavericks have posted wins over Central Arkansas, Northwestern State, McNeese State, Lamar, Sam Houston State and SFA.

UT Arlington secured a hard-fought 4-3 win over SHSU on Saturday and followed the performance with a 7-0 victory against SFA.

WHO'S HOT

Newcomer Maria Martinez-Romer collected her 11th and 12th consecutive victory this past weekend over SHSU and SFA.

Martinez-Romer's wins have helped lead the Mavericks to a perfect 7-0 mark in league play.

The newcomer owns a 14-2 record in singles action and an 8-7 mark in doubles action, earning six of those wins with teammate Nikola Matovicova.
