Thibodeaux, La. - The UT Arlington men's tennis team captured a 4-0 win over Nicholls State on Sunday, April 5 in Thibodeaux, La. UTA improved its overall record to 9-9 and 3-2 in conference action.

The Mavericks collected the doubles point by recording two wins and notched three of the six singles matches. One doubles match and three singles matches went unfinished which meant that neither team recorded the win.

Brieuc Hamon and Gonzalo Bienzobas collected an 8-2 victory over Eric Fisher and Phenyo Matong in the No. 2 position while David Subirats and Adam Srkala handed Sami Mouline and Rohan Shetty an 8-5 loss in the No. 3 spot in the lineup.

Mindaugas Celedinas defeated Radu Ionescu in the No. 1 position with scores of 6-1, 6-1 while Subirats collected a 6-2, 6-2 win over Matong in the No. 4 spot in the lineup and Bienzobas won the No. 6 match against Shetty, by default.

Up next for the Mavs is a match-up at SMU on Tuesday, April 7. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
