Men's and Women's Tennis Match Notes Get Acrobat Reader

MAVS 9-0 IN CONFERENCE ACTION
UTA enters their three-game home stand with a perfect 9-0 mark in conference action and a 12-6 overall record.

The Mavericks posted a pair of wins last weekend against SELU and Nicholls State.

After their three-game home stand, UTA will travel to Corpus Christi, TX for the conference tournament.

WHO'S HOT

Newcomer Maria Martinez-Romer win streak continues as she collected her 12th and 13th straight victory against SELU and Nicholls last weekend.

In 17 matches this season, Martinez-Romer has posted 15 victories.

She has also been stellar in doubles action, recording a 10-7 overall record and is currently on a four game win streak with teammate Nikola Matocova.

SCOUTING ISLANDERS AND ROADRUNNERS

The Islanders are coming off a 4-3 loss to Sam Houston State on Sunday. The setback dropped their overall record to 7-8 and 3-3 in SLC action.

Prior to their setback against the Bearkats, the Islanders were on a three-game win streak.

UTSA is coming off a 7-0 victory against SFA on Sunday. The Roadrunners enter Saturday's match-up with a 13-6 record and a 7-2 mark in league play.

MEN'S TENNIS NOTES
SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS AND LIONS

SMU (13-9) dropped a 6-1 decision against No. 30 Oklahoma State on Friday at Turpin Tennis Stadium.

Before facing the Cowboys, the Mustangs were on a three-game win streak.

The Mustangs No. 2 doubles team Darren Walsh and Adham el-Effendi are undefeated and have recorded an 11-0 mark this season. The sophomore tandem are also ranked 33 nationally.

SE Louisiana is coming off a pair of conference victories last weekend against Nicholls State and Lamar.

The Lions are 8-8 overall and 2-2 in SLC action.
