ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington men's tennis team hosts the Lamar Cardinals Thursday at 2 p.m. at the UTA Tennis Center for the Mavericks last Southland Conference match.

The last time these two teams meet the Mavericks defeated the Cardinals 4-3 in Beaumont last season

The men hope to pick up another conference win against the Cardinals after grabbing two last weekend against UTPA and UTSA.

This will be the last conference match for seniors, Mindaugas Celedinas, David Subirats and Jason Lateko.

The top four teams in the league make the Southland Conference tournament and the Mavericks are currently tied for third with the UTSA Roadrunners. A win against the Cardinals will help secure the team's ticket to the tournament.
