ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington men's tennis team returns to the court this weekend in Waco, Texas at the Baylor Invitational.
Following a weekend in which the team sent just four competitors to the Midland Invitational, the full squad will be in action for the first time this season.
"We are taking all 11 guys this time around," UT Arlington coach Diego Benetiz said. "We have a few guys that are going to play for me for the first time and I want to see how they do and how they climatize to the pressure of playing in college."
Benetiz said that he hopes that the play in practice can carry over to the court this weekend for the newcomers and that they get a better draw than the team received in Midland.
The Mavs went up against the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds throughout the course of play at The Racquet Club Invitational.
The Baylor Invitational is the second of five tournaments the team is scheduled to play in during the fall as well as events in which individuals may compete in also.
"It is important to play as many tournaments in the fall as we can," Benetiz said. "It is important so that we can see how they do and gain experience."
