ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington men's tennis team returns to Waco this weekend to compete in the ITA Regional Championship hosted by Baylor.
"We played on these courts just a few weeks ago and are quite comfortable on them," UT Arlington coach Diego Benitez said. "I feel the guys are ready to take on the challenge and the objective is to go deep and get a good regional ranking."
Austin Robles made his way through the Green Draw consolation round in UTA's previous trip to Waco in September. Robles was 3-1 on his way to the consolation title, defeating fellow Maverick Javier Perez in the final.
Robles and Perez will team up for the doubles competition this weekend. The rest of the Mavericks doubles teams will consist of Marek Pesicka and Carlos Arbiza, Sebastian Erimicioiu and Daniel Armengol, Daniel Echeverry and Pablo Colvee and lastly Stefan Williams and Francesco Migliano.
