ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington men's tennis team is set to end its fall schedule at the Texas Invitational in Austin in hopes of closing out strong.
"They didn't have the best of results in last week's regionals," UT Arlington coach Diego Benitez said. "I think they are eager to go down there. They know it will be the last tournament of the ball. They had a day of rest and a few days of practice and are ready to bounce back and have a good performance."
Austin Robles was one of two Mavericks to advance out of the first round at the ITA Regional Tournament at Baylor University.
Robles advanced into the Round of 32 with wins over individuals from SMU and UT Pan American before a loss to Shane Vinsant from Texas A&M ended his run through the tournament.
Joining Robles, was Marek Pesicka, who went 1-1 in the regionals.
