Cordero Gray Moves to the Next Round of NCAA's

With day one of the NCAA preliminary round wrapped up, senior Cordero Gray advanced to day two after finishing with the fifth fastest time in the 100m. The top 24 fastest times advanced to the next round of the preliminaries.
Gray's time of 10:38 was the fifth fastest time in the 100m. That time advanced him to Friday's quarterfinal preliminary round. In order for Gray to advance to nationals, he must be one of the top 12 sprinters in the 100m.
Freshman Lionel Mungwari also competed in the 100m recording a time of 11.19 for the 47th fastest.
On the men's side, Aundrea Williams Jr. clocked in the 39th fastest time with a time of 53.51 in the 400m hurdles.
In the long jump, Mungwari jumped 4.67m good for 45th. Sill waiting to compete is 110m hurdler Renan Palma, high jumper Isiah Clements and Wade Hayes in the pole vault. The 4x100m relay team is set to compete Saturday at 6 p.m.
