Men and women's track teams head to Northwestern Invitational

ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington track and field teams will be heading to Natchitoches, Louisiana this weekend for the Northwestern Invitational. The meet will be held on Saturday, May 1.
Cordero Gray will be looking to keep his place as one of the top sprinters in all of the country. In the latest USTFCCA rankings, Gray's season best time of 10.28 in the 100 meters is 11th in the country.
Isiah Clements continues to be strong in the high jump, finishing 13th at the Drake Relays last weekend. Jasmine Walls will look for an improved time in the 100 meters while still leading the sprint medley relay team with Gray leading the men's team.
There will be over 500 competitors at the meet with a dozen top 25 teams. The meet will also give the Mavericks a good look at other Southland Conference teams with the Southland Conference Championships coming up in May.
Seven other Southland teams will be at the Invitational including Lamar, Central Arkansas, Sam Houston State and Stephen F. Austin.
