2008 NCAA Midwest Regional Final Results Get Acrobat Reader

LINCOLN, Neb. - - The UT Arlington 4x400-meter relay team finished ninth at the 2008 Midwest Regional Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Ed Wier Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.

UTA ran a season-best 3:08.42, good enough to defeat teams from Sam Houston State, TCU and Texas-El Paso. UTA's 4x400 team consisted for Takeshi Fujiwara, Jarid Vaughan, Cordero Gray and Eddie Beckwith. All members of the team are juniors except the freshman, Gray.

The Mavericks previous season-best was 3:09.06, which was good enough to qualify for the regionals at the University of Nebraska.

Mavericks jumper Andrew Duncan, a regional qualifier in two events, finished 14th in the triple jump with a leap of 49 feet, 9 inches.
