ARLINGTON, Tex. - UT Arlington standout Renan Palma is set to compete in the Pan American Games this week for the El Salvadorian team.
Palma, a native of El Salvador, will compete in the 110m hurdles.
"It is nice for UT Arlington to have representatives at such a prestigious meet," UT Arlington assistant coach Brandon Berger said. "It is good they can represent their countries and I think it speaks well for UT Arlington that we have been able to get those types of athletes."
Palma is one of two athletes with UT Arlington ties competing in the Pan-Am Games. The other is former Maverick Takeshi Fujiwara, who also competed for El Salvador in the 400m. He clocked a time of 46.92.
