MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY HEADS TO NCAA REGIONALS

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The UT Arlington men's cross country team will end the 2007 season as they compete at the NCAA South Central Cross Country Championship here Saturday. The men's team is ranked eighth in the region after a third lace finish at the Southland Conference Championship two weeks ago. Senior Jody Brocolli-Hickey led a group of three Mavs who earned all-conference honors with top-10 finishes. Hickey finished sixth at conference meet with a time of 25:04 over the 8,000-meter West Guth Park course. Junior Idilio Campos (eighth, 25:15) and sophomore Ozie Hood (ninth, 25:21) also earned all-conference honors at the SLC meet. Freshman Jose Balleza (23rd. 26:15), freshman Zack Zura (27th, 26:34), Ivan Pinal (37th. 26:58) and sophomore Armando Saldivar (44th, 27:20) will also compete Saturday. For the women, freshman Annabelle Everitt will compete. She finished 11th at the SLC Championship with a time of 22:02. utamavs.com
