IDILIO CAMPOS EARNS SOUTHLAND ALL-CONFERENCE RECOGNITION

ARLINGTON, Texas - After finishing the fall cross country season with a 13th-place finish at the NCAA South Central Regional and a fifth-place finish at the Southland Conference Championships, Idilio Campos has been named an All-Southland Conference performer. Campos, a senior from Mission, Texas, was one of the top 10 Southland Conference runners who received all-conference recognition. Campos' senior season was filled with success, including winning the North Texas 8K Invitational with a time of 25 minutes, 23.4 seconds. He finished third in the season-opening four mile meet at North Texas (21:07.95) and grabbed two fifth-place finishes at the Texas A&M Invitational (24:42.01) and the Southland Conference Championships (25:23). His time of 31:18.4 ranked 13th at the NCAA South Central Regional in Waco, putting him just one place behind the final competitor that qualified for the NCAA Championships.
Idilio Campos' fifth-place finish in the Southland Championships earns him All-Conference recognition.
